Stuart Matthews

Brought up on Merseyside Stuart Matthews‘ first surf was on a scout trip to Jersey in 1964. He surfed the Kent coast whilst at uni and in 1973 became the National Coach for the British Surf Association. He is known for surfing tidal bores and continues to surf despite having a prosthetic leg.
