Mike Eastick

Mike Eastick started body boarding in Trevone and Polzeath in Cornwall and Saunton in Devon. In the early 60s some Aussie lifeguards in Saunton leant him a Malibu and he was hooked on stand-up surfing from then.

Alan Kift

Alan Kift was an early member and volunteer for North Devon (now Woolacombe) Surf Lifesaving Club. He discovered surfing through surf life saving and bought a surfboard from Bob Head to help his lifesaving. Alan was an early surfer at the break of Lynmouth in the mid 60s.
